AceShowbiz - Nicole Kidman was among the stars who graced the red carpet at the 2020 Producers Guild Awards on Saturday, January 18. During an interview, the 52-year-old actress was unsurprisingly asked to spill some tea about whether or not fans would be getting a third season of HBO's hit series "Big Little Lies".

Even though fans were excited to have one more season of the show, Nicole appeared to rule out the possibility of a third season. "It's certainly more of a dream than it is a reality. Sorry to say, but maybe one day," she told Entertainment Tonight.

She went on saying that what would take to get season 3 of "Big Little Lies", Nicole said, "A great story, it is that simple, so we'll see! Laura [Dern] is working on so many different thingsā€¦ and Zoe [Kravitz] has gone onto the 'Catwoman', so she's going to be doing other things.' " Meanwhile, her co-star revealed that should they decide to make another season, she wouldn't turn down the chance to revive her character Renata.

Later on Sunday at the 2020 SAG Awards, Nicole further clarified her comments on the hit series. "We tread carefully now," the wife of Keith Urban explained, insisting that she didn't say it would "absolutely not" happen. "I said, 'Definitely. Just not now.' "

Nicole added that Laura was extremely busy, to the point she would have "no time" if they had another season of the show, which also starred Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz. Laura chimed in, "I go wherever she tells me to go because this is my boss. So when my boss calls, I'll show up."

"We all want to do it, we would love to do it, and we're unbelievably grateful that people want it to happen," The Celeste Wright depictor added. "When you have two seasons and when you go, 'Wow, to be able to possibly do another season or a movie or whatever it may be and spend all that time together and enjoy it -- that's exceptional, isn't it?' "

Created by David E. Kelley, "Big Little Lies" was based on the novel on the same name by Liane Moriarty. The first season premiered on HBO on February 19, 2017 while the second season premiered on June 9, 2019.
