Announcing his retirement after 50 years in the industry, the famed fashion designer claims the January 22 show will be his last, but Haute Couture will continue with a new concept.

AceShowbiz - Famed fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier will stage the last runway show of his career during Paris Fashion Week.
The legendary French atelier announced his retirement on Friday, January 17 via Twitter, telling fans he is eager to take new steps in his decades-long career.
"This show celebrating 50 years of my career will also be my last," the 67-year-old tweeted, referring to his haute couture show in France later this month (January 2020). "But rest assured Haute Couture will continue with a new concept."
"It's going to be quite a party with many of my friends, and we're going to have fun until very, very late. Be there! You can't miss this."
Since launching his fabled fashion house in 1982, Gaultier has had a storied career, dressing celebrities like Beyonce Knowles, Lady GaGa and Rihanna. Receiving the nickname 'enfant terrible', or unruly child, for his avant garde designs, he is still known for creating Madonna's infamous cone bra in the 1990s.
The final Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture runway show takes place on January 22 as part of Paris Fashion Week.
