When sharing the happy news that she has welcomed her baby girl, the 'Jane the Virgin' actress explains that she has decided to curb her urge to show her daughter off.

AceShowbiz - "Jane the Virgin" actress Yael Grobglas is a first time mum.

The star took to Instagram on Friday (January 17) to announce the arrival of a baby girl named Arielle.

"Happy to announce the landing of our human-bean Arielle!" Grobglas wrote in a note.

"Mother and daughter are doing well... Completely objectively, she is perfect."

Grobglas went on to explain why she hadn't posted a photo of the newborn.

"As much as I want to post every movement of her toe, I have decided to curb my urge to show her off and protect this little one's privacy until she can make her own decision," the new mum shared. "It's not her fault her mom was on TV and she deserves to make that choice for herself."

"At the moment, she barely knows she has hands so might take a min. (I reserve the right to change my mind at any point in the future, I am currently very sleep deprived and a puddle of emotions.)"

Concluding the message to her fans, Grobglas added, "Thank you my lovelies for understanding and helping protect this little creature. I love you all. Wish us luck. And sleep. And luck."

Grobglas has been in a relationship with Israeli businessman Artem Kroupenev since 2006.
