Fans Go Wild After Demi Lovato Is Tapped to Sing National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV

The former Disney star is joining a growing list of talented artists who have performed 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the annual sports event, including Pink and Lady GaGa.

AceShowbiz - Now that the Super Bowl LIV is only a few weeks away, the NFL has announced the National Anthem performer. Demi Lovato has been confirmed to belt out "The Star-Spangled Banner" at one of the biggest sports events taking place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on Sunday, February 2.

Demi broke the exciting news by sharing on social media an official photo touring her performance and writing, "Singing the National Anthem at #SBLIV See you in Miami." The former Disney darling joins a growing list of talented musicians who have performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl such as Idina Menzel, Lady GaGa and Pink. Last year, Gladys Knight took the singing duty.

Fans, who have been waiting for Demi's musical comeback since her near-fatal overdose, are understandably overjoyed by this news as the singer began trending on social media. "MS. DEMI LOVATO IS SINGING THE ANTHEM AT THE SUPERBOWL, SHUT THE FRONT DOOOOOR," one exclaimed, as another admitted to in the verge of tears by the news. "DEMI LOVATO IS SINGING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AT THE SUPER BOWL AND I CANT WAIT!!! Her voice is so amazing it brings tears to my eyeballs," someone raved.

"Keep winning baby it's what you deserve YESS," another person commented. Meanwhile, an individual said, "PERIOD. PERIODICAL. PERICODITY. PERIODIC TABLE," with one other writing, "I don't stan her, but I'm sure she's gonna slay with her amazing vocals."

It's still unknown who will be tapped to perform "America the Beautiful". Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are joining forces to headline the halftime show.

The National Anthem gig will mark Demi's second live performance since her drugs overdose back in 2018. She will make her live comeback at the 2020 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26.
