After his heavy metal band was overlooked for a second time, Richie Faulkner vents his frustration online by stressing that the institution 'holds no credibility' for him.

AceShowbiz - Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner has slammed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a "total joke" after the band was overlooked for induction for a second time.

The British heavy metal stars, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, were among the nominees for the Class of 2020, but they failed to make the cut when the honourees were announced on Wednesday (January 15), two years after they were initially snubbed.

The news left fans furious, with many taking to social media to vent about the lack of recognition for the group, which has been eligible for induction since 1999.

"WAIT. Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails and Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.) BEFORE @judaspriest in #RockHall2020?" a Twitter user named Kenny exclaimed in disbelief as he reeled off the names of the 2020 inductees.

"How do I explain this to my child if I don't understand it? #MetalForever #HeavyMetal."

The tweet caught Faulkner's attention and he used the opportunity to blast Hall of Fame voters, insisting their opinions hold no weight with the veteran musician.

"Doesn't make sense does it kenny? Hence why the rock hall holds no credibility for me and never has...," he replied.
