Many people make it clear that they won't trust the 43-year-old rapper considering the whole Fyre Festival fiasco, which made him get into trouble with the laws.

AceShowbiz - Ja Rule isn't giving up business despite the whole Fyre Festival fiasco several years ago. On Monday night, January 13, the rapper took to social media to promoted Value Tax, a tax preparation company that he claims he owns, only to find himself becoming the butt of the Internet jokes considering the infamous festival.

Posting a photo of the ads for the company, he wrote, "It's TAX SEASON!!! And we're giving you $100 when you walk in the door!!! Let us do your taxes walk out with $100 it's that simple!!!! Not in Jersey no problem give use (sic) a call..."

The trolling was almost immediate, with some pointing out that Rule has had his fair share of IRS troubles. He once received a 28-month prison sentence for tax evasion and reportedly owed $2 million in back taxes last year. Many others, meanwhile, reminded him of the Fyre Festival. "Ja Rule really thinks we trust him with our taxes after what happened at Fyre Fest," one said. "When the IRS debt collector shows up at your door because Ja Rule forgot to file your taxes," another joked.

On the other hand, someone quipped, "Ja Rule: let me do your taxes im trustworthy. America:," along with a video of a news anchor saying, "Let me be very very clear, the answer is hell no." One person commented, "I go to the trends to see what's going on and Ja Rule is trending because he letting people know he can get their taxes done. And I can't stop laughing."

But Rule clearly didn't take their comments to mind. If anything, he trolled them back. "Everything that's funny ain't a joke value tax over 40 locations Ja Rule BEEN DOING YA'LL TAXES FOR YEARS!!!" he wrote in one tweet, before adding, "All y'all thinking y'all gonna be stars better go learn how to diversify your portfolio..."

He later called his critics "funny," saying, "Everyone gets on social media to follow celebs to get a glimpse of the lives you so desperately want but will probably NEVER live..." Rule also reminded them, "Y'all been hating on me since 03... I ain't stop getting money yet lol I'm good!! Lmao thanks for all the promo this s**t easy y'all are very predictable lmao..."
