AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez recently stopped by "Live with Kelly and Ryan", exciting her fans. However, her appearance on the Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest-hosted talk show was not almost unbearable to watch with Selena allegedly looking distracted.
The "Lose You to Love Me" singer went to the show to promote her new album "Rare". She looked beautiful in a simple white dress featuring a deep V-neck while styling her raven hair in a neat bun.
Viewers, however, thought that the former Disney star wasn't really into the interview. At one point, Kelly appeared to have to drag information out of the singer, prompting fans to dub the interview "almost awkward to watch." The fan added in the comment section of the show's post featuring Selena prior to getting on the stage, "She seemed so annoyed to even be there."
However, some others came to the singer's defense, saying that she looked like that because she was sleep-deprived. "didn't get that at all. She said she was operating on just a couple hours sleep & she seems low key, but I didn't get 'annoyed' at all."
That was true because Selena explained on her makeup artist's Instagram Stories that she needed to wake up early that day. "Why do we have to get so early today?" Hung Vann Go asked Selena, to which she sleepily replied, " 'Cause I have promote my album... because I want it to do good... but I'm on 3 hours of sleep!"
During the interview, Selena talked about getting stung by a bee while she was in her Hawaiian vacay. Of the getaway, she said that she purposely went for a trip to "have a great time with my friends before all the madness." When co-host Ryan asked if she was stung by something, Selena responded with a shy laugh.
"I was so embarrassed. It was a bee. I was just walking on the beach and the was a be and then I got stung by the bee. But then everyone said it was a jellyfish, and I was like, 'Well that was cooler,' " she recalled. "I just thought it sounds cooler, got stung by jellyfish as opposed to a bee."
Selena released "Rare" on January 10, 2020, through Interscope Records with "Lose You to Love Me" being the lead single. It was out October 23, 2019, topping the Billboard Hot 100 and marking her first number-one single in the U.S.
