The makeup guru reveals in a new video on her channel that she's a transgender woman after someone made a blackmail attempt by threatening to leak the info to the press.

AceShowbiz - YouTube star NikkieTutorials has just come clean about her gender transition after a blackmail attempt. In a video posted on Monday, January 13, she came out as a transgender woman after someone threatened to leak the story to the press.

The 25-year-old Dutch, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager, said that while she had always planned to tell her fans one day, the blackmail attempt took away her chance to reveal her journey on her own way, "so I am taking back my own power." She continued, "I can't believe I am saying this today to all of you, for the entire world to see, but damn it feels good to finally do it. It's time to let go and be truly free."

"When I was younger, I was born in the wrong body which means I am transgender," the beauty vlogger shared. Nikkie said she started identifying as a girl at the age of 6 and began hormone therapy when she was 14 years old, before she "fully transitioned" by the age of 19.

"I transitioned while on YouTube," Nikkie claimed. "And saying that right now seems so crazy to me, because I have literally grown up and transformed into me in front of all of you." She went on sharing, "Growing up, I think the hardest part was meeting new people and getting close to them and telling them a side to your life that you don’t even want to talk about because you hate that part of your life."

Nikkie also opened up about how she told her fiance Dylan Drossaers about her transition. "I wait [to] tell my full story until I know I'm in good hands, because people out there are scary and dangerous. So, Dylan and I, we clicked and he didn't know. He knows now. Dylan knows about my past, but I wish I told him sooner," she said. "Everything felt so magical, so good, that I was afraid to lose him if I would tell my full story. And at the point where I told him my full story, of course he was shocked."

On why she didn't come out sooner to her 12.4 million YouTube subscribers, she said that because she "wanted my channel to be about my art." She also claimed, "I've been wanting to share this side of myself to all of you for so long, but I could never figure out the timing."

Calling the blackmail attempt "vile" and "gross," she added, "They said they wanted to leak this because I'm lying or that I don't want to tell my truth or because they feel like I'm too scared for people to know who I truly am, but I'm not scared." Towards the end of the video, Nikkie gave the blackmailer a middle finger and told them, "I hope you can sit nice on it."
