The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly signed on for a voiceover gig at the Mouse House after her husband pitched her skills to the studio's boss on the red carpet.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex has her husband Prince Harry to thank for her new voiceover deal at Disney after he appeared to propose the idea to company CEO Bob Iger.

The British royals met Iger back in July 2019 at the London premiere of "The Lion King" and, in newly resurfaced video footage of their encounter, Harry can be heard promoting the former actress' talents to Iger.

In the online clip, the 35 year old seemingly says, "You know she does voiceovers?"

"Oh really?" Iger responds, as Harry remarks, "Did you know that? You seem surprised."

He then gestures towards Meghan, who was deep in conversation with Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, and adds, "She's really interested."

"Sure," Iger replies. "We'd love to try."

The re-emergence of the video clip coincides with reports suggesting the former "Suits" star will be returning to her roots in the entertainment industry to provide voiceovers for Disney officials, in exchange for a donation to conservation group Elephants Without Borders, which focuses on protecting the animals from poachers, according to Britain's The Times newspaper.

Disney bosses have yet to comment on the claims, but Meghan is said to have completed her first recording before she, Harry, and their baby son Archie, eight months, jetted off to Canada for the festive season.

The news comes after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 their intention to "step back" as senior royals, while fully intending to "become financially independent" after streamlining their role within the institution.

They went on to launch their new sussexroyal.com website, outlining their plans for the future, which include splitting their time between the U.K. and North America.

Harry, the son of Queen Elizabeth II's heir Prince Charles and his late ex-wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, is sixth in line to the throne.
