Another fan praised him and got motivated.

Suplee did not get his ripped physique the easy way though. In the first episode of his "American Glutton" podcast, he revealed that he had "gained and lost probably close to 1,000 pounds at this point." He additionally opened up about his relationship with food which caused him to weigh more than 200 by the age of 10.

"I guess the first diet I was ever on, I was 5-years-old," he spilled. "I had not thought about food really other than enjoying food up until that point. I went to visit my grandparents in Vermont and they were kind of shocked at the state of me. Now back then - this was like late '70s, early '80s - the fat version of me at 5-years-old was probably close to what the average is today, but back then it was startling. You know, there weren't a lot of fat kids back then, certainly not as many as there are now."

"So they weighed me and they were just shocked. I don't know what the numbers were but their response was not good and they started limiting my food," the Randy Hickey of "My Name Is Earl" continued on. "I learned really quickly that when I wanted a second plate of lasagna I had to do it really quickly without them seeing."

The "American History X" star further recalled how his fat body back then caused "a lot of trouble" as he confessed that he used food, alcohol and drugs to "numb" himself throughout his teen years. "Health wasn't something I ever thought about," he admitted.

It was not until he got sober in 2002 that he started to try dieting. "I lost a s***load of weight. I went from 530 to, at my lowest, 220," he stated. "At 220, I was very, very thin." His slimmer figure, however, cost him jobs since filmmakers found him "too thin". He added, "At some point I was like, 'Well f**, I'm just gonna get fat again because maybe it'll be better for work.' And honestly, it was."

At this point in his life, Suplee claimed that he had "gained and lost probably close to 1,000 pounds." Yet, what matters most was his current relationship with food. "Food is a functional fuel I use to live and that's how I am thinking about it right now," he elaborated.
