As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex launch a new website after stepping down as senior members of British royal family, Andy Cohen offers them a spot on his Bravo reality show.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex have launched a new website outlining their "progressive new role" within the monarchy after announcing their intention to denounce their status as "senior royals."

The couple, who married in 2018, announced the shock news on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, writing in a statement posted on Instagram, "After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution."

"We intend to step back as 'senior' members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment."

On their new sussexroyal.com website, designed by a digital agency based in Toronto - the same firm behind her now closed lifestyle blog, The Tig, the couple have detailed their "new working model," including a new media relations policy, the future of their charitable work and how they will be funded.

The website explains they have been banned from earning their own income as royals as they receive money from the Sovereign Grant - money from taxpayers - and they aim to become financially independent so they can work "externally."

However, the couple, along with eight-month-old son Archie, will be splitting their time between the U.K. and North America, and will continue to reside in the Grade II listed Frogmore Cottage, which is owned by the Queen.

Taxpayers will also pay for their security, with the site explaining, "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are classified as internationally protected people which mandates this level of security."

The couple also announced it would be withdrawing from the "royal rota" system, which allows British press to cover their work, and will instead offer access to specially-invited media and dispense news via their own official communications and social media channels.

The news comes after the pair admitted their mental health was suffering as a result of intense media scrutiny from tabloid newspapers in an ITV documentary last year.

While Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reported Harry's grandmother Queen Elizabeth II was "furious" upon hearing the "bombshell" news, stars worldwide reacted to the announcement, taking to social media to share their views.

Jameela Jamil, who appeared as one of 15 women representing Forces for Change on the former Suits actress' September 2019 issue of British Vogue, wrote, "And that folks, is what power looks like."

"What a sad story. They hounded and bullied her until it was no longer tenable to stay, just like Diana," tweeted singer/actress Bette Midler. "They'll never learn until it hits them in the wallet."

And the royals even received some new job opportunities from "The Daily Show" and U.S. late night host Andy Cohen.

"We're hiring," wrote "The Daily Show" 's official Twitter page alongside a list of requirements that were catered to Meghan and Harry, while Andy, who is an executive producer of the "Real Housewives" franchise, added, "Open invite for The Duchess to joining #RHOBH (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills)."

Harry, the son of Queen Elizabeth II's heir Prince Charles and his late ex-wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, is sixth in line to the throne.
