Sharing his parents' reaction to him eventually moving into his own place in Los Angeles, the 'Black Panther' star says, 'I'm pretty sure they saged the entire house when I left.'

AceShowbiz - Michael B. Jordan has finally lived independently after cohabitating with his parents throughout his whole life. The actor, who will turn 33 years old this upcoming February, reveals that he has at last moved out of his parents' house after 32 years.

"It happened!" he confirmed his new living situation during a visit to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday, January 8. He gushed, "It's good. It's nice."

Turns out it was his parents who were more excited about Michaels' move as he told Ellen DeGeneres, "I'm pretty sure they saged the entire house when I left. Like, they lit incense and bleached it down and got rid of all of me and then I got a place."

Despite his recent move, Michael makes sure he will maintain his close relationship with his family. "Yeah, we're close enough," he said of the distance between the two houses. "You know, driving, Sunday dinner. Mom and dad, they cook. I'm close enough that, yeah, we can get there. But I'm still, like, 20 minutes away, which is good."

Though many may been surprised with the news, Ellen stressed that it was actually Michael who bought the house they had shared all this time and that his parents moved into the house. "That's a good way for them to get the house," the host jokingly said. "Because then they stayed, and then you had to leave."

During the chat, Ellen also asked Michael about his recently-surfacing high school prom photo. The "Black Panther" star was caught in an awkward situation when explaining his relationship with his prom date after saying that it was his girlfriend, before adding, "We were cool."

"Well, clearly you were more than friends," the comedian reiterated, before forcing him to admit that she was a "friend with benefits." The "Mercy" actor reluctantly agreed with her, saying, "You bring this out of me."

Michael is currently dating Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra. While they have not publicly talked about their relationship, he's recently featured in a music video for her song "Whoa".
