The 'Yummy' singer reveals his struggle with health issues on Instagram and plans to detail his battle with the incurable disease in his upcoming documentary.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber confirmed rumors saying he's battling Lyme disease. He took to Instagram to open up on his health issues and revealed that, in addition to struggling with the tick-borne illness, he was diagnosed with "a serious case of chronic mono."

He said, "While a lot of people kept saying justin Bieber looks like s**t, on meth etc. they failed to realize I've been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health."

"These things will be explained further in a docu series I'm putting on YouTube shortly.. you can learn all that I've been battling and OVERCOMING!!" he continued. "It's been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP."

Back in November 2019, Bieber sparked concerns about his health when he was spotted with an intravenous drip in his arm while leaving a medical center in Beverly Hills, California. According to TMZ, his Lyme disease went undiagnosed for months until it was pinpointed late last year.

He reportedly managed to get a hold on the condition with the right medication. This allowed him to work on his new music and map out a tour. He has since released a new single called "Yummy" which is going to be followed by a new album.

The "Sorry" hitmaker is set to debut a 10-episode YouTube Originals documentary called "Seasons" on January 27. The Canadian singer is expected to address his personal struggle as well as decision to scrap a string of tour dates back in 2017.

Lyme disease could cause rashes, extreme fatigue, headaches, and fevers. Justin Bieber isn't the only celebrity to contract the disease as pop punk Avril Lavigne, model Bella Hadid, and her mother Yolanda Hadid, also suffer from the same illness.
