When interviewed on the red carpet of the 77th annual prizegiving, the 'Judy' star spills her relief that her swollen right ankle was hidden by her floor-length blue Armani Prive gown.

AceShowbiz - Renee Zellweger was secretly struggling with a twisted ankle as she attended the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 05.

The actress didn't let her minor injury derail her fashion plans as she still chose to pair her floor-length blue Armani Prive gown with Jimmy Choo heels, although she was glad her right ankle was mostly hidden from view thanks to the cut of the dress, which featured a thigh-high slit down the left side.

"I've got a bit of a swollen ankle right now and it's on the right side so that's perfect," Zellweger told U.S. news show Access Hollywood of her ensemble.

She added of the fitting design, "I was thinking that my swollen, twisted ankle nobody is going to know about is nicely placed behind the dress."

Zellweger showed no sign of discomfort as she strutted down the red carpet, while she was also all smiles during the ceremony as she won the best actress prize for her portrayal of Judy Garland in "Judy".
