Having been presented with Gabonese passport by the African country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, 'The Fate of the Furious' actor thanks his wife, Eudoxie, for arranging the surprise.

AceShowbiz - Rapper and actor Ludacris has been granted citizenship in his wife Eudoxie's native Gabon.

The couple, which wed in 2014, spent part of the holidays with family in the African nation, and on Thursday (January 02), Ludacris revealed he, his mother Roberta Shields, and his three daughters had all been presented with Gabonese passports, so they now hold dual citizenship.

"The Fate of the Furious" star, who was born in Illinois and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, took to Instagram to show off his new travel document, which he received during a visit to the office of D'Alain-Claude Bille, the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Standing beside the politician, Ludacris shared his excitement in a short video, as he announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I just became an official citizen of Gabon, Africa...! This is the greatest day of my life...!"

The 42-year-old, real name Christopher Bridges, went on to thank model Eudoxie for arranging the surprise.

"The Best Gift of the Decade," he gushed. "Award goes to @eudoxie #thebridges".

His "Fast and Furious" franchise co-star Tyrese Gibson was among the followers to applaud the news.

"Yesaaaaaahhhhhhh (sic)," he began. "African American for real...!!!!!!!! shout to @eudoxie that's doooooope (sic)!!!"

And producer pal Jermaine Dupri added, "Dope !!"

Ludacris and his loved ones also used the vacation in Africa to make a stop in Ghana just before the New Year, when they celebrated the Year of Return, an effort encouraging Africans across the world to "retrace their roots and return to the continent", 400 years after the start of the U.S. slave trade.
