The newest sneak-peek of the sequel to the 2018 hit horror movie also shows the beginning of the alien invasion before following the Abbotts as they search for a new safe haven.

AceShowbiz - Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer of "A Quiet Place Part II" after teasing it with a shorter video. The approximately two-and-a-half-minute video opens with a glimpse of the beginning of the alien invasion. Evelyn (Emily Blunt) is seen navigating her car amid the chaotic scene at Main Street in the Village of Akron.

The footage then cuts to show the Abbotts in the aftermath of the events in the first movie. They abandon the farm, where they settled in for quite some time, and walk through abandoned industrial buildings to find a new safe haven until they meet a new character played by Cillian Murphy.

They find out that there's another community of survivors and Evelyn wants to help more people out there, but Murphy's character appears to have negative sentiment about other survivors. "You don't know, do you?" he tells Evelyn. "I do. The people that are left, are not the kind of people worth saving."

The official logline for the movie reads, "Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path."

Following the release of the trailer, people are obsessed with Murphy's character. "Bearded homeless looking Cillian Murphy god 2020 is already better than 2019," one reacted on Twitter. Another gushed, "bearded, tattooed, rugged cillian murphy in a quiet place part 2 is everything i never knew i needed."

Djimon Hounsou also stars as a new character in the movie, while Blunt's husband John Krasinski returns to serve as director, in addition to writing the script. The movie is due out on March 20 in the United States.
