The 'Juice' hitmaker reveals how she was in a really bad place back in 2009 before reaching major success in 2019, saying to her Twitter followers that 'anything can happen in a decade.'

AceShowbiz - Lizzo has experienced so many things in 2019. Now that a new decade has begun, the "Truth Hurts" singer took to her Twitter account to share some words of encouragement while reflecting on her life in the past decade.

"2009 was the year of my daddy died," Lizzo wrote alongside pictures of her which was taken in 2009 and a picture of 2019 cover of TIME magazine in which she was declared Artist of the Year. "2009 was the year I lived in my car and cried myself to sleep on Thanksgiving."

Fortunately, things took a positive turn thanks to her hard work. Listing her achievement in 2019, the "Juice" hitmaker added, "2019 is the year my album and song went No. 1. 2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her house. Anything can happen in a decade. Tomorrow is the beginning of your anything."

"As a teacher, I can say with certainty that you are helping so many young ladies accept and love themselves, especially my students. Thank you for that and for all you do," one fan commented under her tweet. "Thank you for being you! May your father's memory be a blessing and the light you follow. You exist on the grand scale because you embody inner and outer beauty. As a big woman, I was told to get my jaws wired shut, thin my eyebrows, lips, but I decided to me like you did. HNY," another fan added.

Her tweet also inspired one other person, who said, "2019 was the year my daddy died, and I spent more nights crying myself to sleep than I could count. I strive to reach Lizzo levels of life in the next decade." Echoing the sentiment, one user added, "Your posts have been so inspiring to me as a disabled young adult. If you ever do a VIP experience where I can meet you, my service dog wants you to sign her vest! She loves your music."

This arrives after her song "Juice" was included in a list of former U.S. President Barack Obama favorite songs of 2019. The ex POTUS tweeted alongside the list of 35 songs, "From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you're looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there's a track or two in here that does the trick," Obama tweeted alongside the list of 35 songs."

Following his tweet, Lizzo was quick to respond, admitting she'd had an emotional reaction to being included in the selection. "I love you so much Mr. Obama," she tweeted. "Thanks for assisting me with my morning cry."
