The 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' actor claps back at a Twitter user who accuses him of being 'disrespectful' for making a sex joke about Daisy Ridley's character Rey.

AceShowbiz - John Boyega has responded after fans slammed him for making a sex joke about "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" character Rey. Instead of apologizing, the British actor has hit back at the fans for being overly sensitive.
The 27-year-old's heated exchange with fans began as someone mentioned how the death of Finn's (Boyega) romantic rival opens the door for his character to be with Daisy Ridley's character Rey. "My boy after realizing Kylo died so he can date Rey," the said fan commented on a video shared by the actor which showed him dancing excitedly at a party.
Boyega then responded by making a joke about his character hooking up with Rey. "It's not about who she kisses but who eventually lays the pipe. You are a genius," he wrote, prompting a storm of fury from fans of the sci-fi film franchise.
One person tweeted to the actor, "bro you re extremly disgusting and gross also f**king disrespectful...you cannot be this jealous of adam driver dude. as a black woman im f**king ashamed that someone like you represented us in star wars." But Boyega didn't see anything wrong with his comment, clapping back at the critic, "You obviously don't know the difference between a fictional world and reality."
In another tweet, he claimed that Ridley wouldn't be angry about his joke because she knows the difference between a fictional world and reality. "Daisy knows she isn't the character. Lol so tbh she doesn't give AF," so he posted.
Another Twitter user urged him to stop tweeting as he's only "worsening his image." Boyega then responded with a famous quote from "Game of Thrones", "You know nothing Jon Snow." He replied to a similar tweet, "I will say it 500000 times. Two consenting adults can lay down whatever the hell they want ya sensitive!"
"You're still a misogynist," someone else wrote to Boyega, who responded with, "And you're an idiot."
Another critic told him, "Making a joke like that about a fictional woman or a real woman makes no difference. You should be ashamed of yourself. And to think of how some of us defended you over the years. Disgusting."
Someone else urged him to reflect on his controversial remark as writing, "John, seriously, try and have a good thought about this. Women are upset, maybe stop gaslighting us and search your own conscience. I get it that you are young, but you should really understand. Ask a female friend to explain why this is unacceptable."
There were a few who took Boyega's side though, with one writing, "Btw it was funny John. I'm sorry you're getting all this s**t."
