The Chicago emcee and his entourage are allegedly turned away by Immigration and police after arriving in the Bahamas with the reason being tied to a murder case in Atlanta shooting earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - Lil Durk was initially set to entertain his fans in the Bahamas on Saturday, November 28. However, his fans had to be left disappointed as the rapper was denied entry into the island nation because of pending criminal case.

According to local news outlet Speak Up Bahamas, the Chicago emcee and his entourage were turned away by Immigration and police after arriving in the Bahamas. It was said the reason tied to a murder case in Atlanta shooting that took place in February this year.

"Lil Durk arrived in Nassau and was turned around by Immigration and Police force and will not be performing in The Bahamas, due to his criminal records currently in the USA," the publication explained.

In a video that circulated online, the rapper and his crew could be seen walking with officials, seemingly being escourted out after they told them that he wasn't allowed to stay. Durk has yet to address the canceled gig. However, late Saturday night he wrote on social media, "When you in a good space can’t nobody break that - ENERGY."

The issue was apparently unexpected by Durk as he expressed his excitement for the gig, which would have marked his first time in the country. Tweeting on his account, he wrote, "Bahamas tomorrow my first time ever def a."

Durk turned himself into authorities in May as he was accused of shooting a 23-year-old man outside The Varsity restaurant on February 5. According to police, Durk's affiliate King Von was also in some way responsible for the crime.

The two had been charged with criminal attempt to commit murder and aggravated assault (shooting at). Additionally, the rappers were charged unlawful for person employed by/associated with criminal street gang to conduct/participate in criminal gang activity, possession of firearm during commission of a felony and possession of firearm by convicted felon.

Fortunately, the man survived the shooting. Meanwhile, Durk, who maintains his innocence, is currently out on a $250,000 bond.
