Following the heartbreaking event that claimed the life of Destiny Harrison, the boxer takes to Twitter to offer help financially for the funeral who died in a shooting incident on December 21.

AceShowbiz - Gervonta Davis is staying true to his words. As the city of Baltimore is mourning the tragic death of salon owner Destiny Harrison, the boxer took to his Twitter account to express condolence and offer help financially for the funeral.

Following the heartbreaking December 21 incident that claimed the life of Madam D Beauty Bar owner, Destiny's family was reportedly setting up an official GoFundMe page to help her young daughter and help pay for her funeral expenses. Catching wind of the sad news, Gervonta shared his good intention on Twitter.

"Smh! I only hear about this sadness … Prayers and love for his family. If I could do something like pay for the funeral or something like that … … Reach our [sic]!" so the Baltimore native wrote on December 26.

Hours later, he updated on Instagram Stories that he had taken care of the funeral expenses for #DestinyHarrison's funeral. "May you rest in peace..funeral paid for!" he captioned a photo of Destiny being edited into an angel with golden wings and a halo.

"Mad respect for Gervonta. R.I.P Destiny!" a fan wrote on Instagram. "RIP this violence has to stop. Prayers for the family," one other added.

However, some people criticized Gervonta for making his good deeds public. "GOOD DEEDS DONT ALWAYS NEED AN ANNOUNCEMENT.. BUT REST WELL QUEEN," someone commented. "Do you have to announce it though like damn," one other echoed.

Meanwhile, some people didn't seem to see him announcing it as a bad thing. "Doesn't matter he mentioned he paid for it he did a good deed ! Nothing negative about this and I'm not even a huge fan of him," one person said.

Destiny died after being shot in the head while inside her Madam D Beauty Bar, which is located in the McElderry Park neighborhood of South Baltimore. It was said the cops responded to a call to the scene just after 6 P.M.
