According to an onlooker, the altercation that takes place in New York City happen after two ladies mock Safaree and say that he's only relevant because of Nicki Minaj.

AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuels and Erica Mena's night out in New York City didn't go as planned. The expecting pair sent their bodyguards to beat up a man for trying to defend two women who taunted him when they ran into the couple in the city.

According to The Neighborhood Talk, it all started after two girls told Safaree that he was only relevant because of Nicki Minaj. "They said he felt disrespected and asked them why they were doing this in front of his wife-Erica Mena," an onlooker told the gossip blog. "They then said he called them fat b***hes and that the man who got beat up did so because he was trying to defend them. They said he told Safaree not to talk to women like that and then he got jumped by their purple."

Meanwhile, a second onlooker claimed that one of the couple's bodyguards tried to stab the man.

Several videos of the incident have made their way out online. In one clip, a large group of men who appeared to be Safaree and Erica's entourage was seen jumping on a man, while another clip saw the man sitting on the ground and was clearly in pain. Security was seen trying to prevent things from getting worse.

Despite the video footage, Erica has since denied the reports. Taking to Instagram, the pregnant "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star blasted gossip blogs, "All y'all do is post made up and pathetic lies about people want nothing to do with you! I'm pregnant and this is how you go about harassing a woman who's getting ready to give birth!"

Erica and Safaree are currently expecting their first child together. The couple announced the happy news back in an October episode of "LHH: New York". Days later, the two revealed that they are married.
