The younger brother of 'Outlander' actor Rory Burns has passed away at the age of 14 in Greenock, Scotland with funeral set to take place on December 12.

AceShowbiz - Child actor Jack Burns has passed away at the age of 14.

He was found dead at his family home in Greenock, Scotland on December 1, and while a cause of death has yet to be revealed, police investigators do not suspect foul play, reports British outlet Metro.

Burns had been a rising star after winning a place at the prestigious Glasgow Ballet School at the age of nine, and joining the Elite Academy of Dance in Greenock.

Elite officials paid tribute to Burns in a statement posted online, writing, "Jack was an inspiration to everyone at Elite and touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of working and dancing with him since 2012."

"We and all of Jacks family and friends are naturally completely devastated and at a loss for words and answers (sic)."

Burns' funeral is set to take place on Thursday, December 12.

He had previously landed a small role in British crime drama "In Plain Sight" in 2016, and in Netflix miniseries "One of Us".

Burns was the younger brother of "Outlander" actor Rory Burns, who featured as a younger version of Richard Rankin's character, Roger Wakefield, in two episodes from 2014.
