Mackenzie posts a heartfelt tribute to her late mom Angie Douthit on Instagram, writing, 'I hope this goes by fast so I can hurry and come be with you.'

AceShowbiz - Mackenzie McKee is in mourning. On Monday, December 9, the "Teen Mom OG" star lost her 50-year-old mother, Angie Douthit, to brain cancer.

One day after Angie's passing, Mackenzie turned to Instagram to leave a heartfelt message along with a photo of her mother completing a marathon. "Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line. She did not lose the battle, she one. She is healed and running in heaven in eternity," she began her tribute.

The 25-year-old then took note of the impact her mother made through her life. "Idk anyone who left earth with such an impact, Your entire life you never waisted a chance to let the world know Gods love," she wrote. "When we would try to brag on what an amazing person you are you would respond with 'it's not me, it's God'."

Recalling how her mother "simply trusted That God would speak through her," the reality TV star asked, "Could you imagine this world if we all lived like Angie Douthit?" She added, "She always said 'it's easy, we were put on earth to share Gods love.' And boy did she. 700 daily post for you guys to read daily, hundreds of speaking engagements even when she could barely walk or speak."

"Momma, i did not deserve you. But you loved me so unconditionally," Mackenzie continued. "You were the glue that held me together. The one who always believed in me. Idk what I will do without you but I hope this goes by fast so I can hurry and come be with you." Her post concluded with a promise to make her late mother proud.

Angie's passing came three days after she announced that she "will have two more doses of radiation" before starting on hospice care. "Today was a little rough. Scans showed results that were not good. The cancer has grown in the liver and in the brain. There is also some hemorrhaging in the brain," she explained in a post dated November 6.

Angie's battle with brain cancer was first shared by Mackenzie in January 2018. Through Twitter, the mother of three disclosed, "All prayer warriors. Please pray for my mom. What we thought was bronchitis turned out to be 3 masses on her brain, 1 large imone in her." She added, "We are in shock and devastated. I she has brain surgery tomorrow. I'm sick. I'm so sick and want to wake up."
