The 'Hold It Against Me' singer is going to fight her former husband in a new legal battle after her time with two sons Sean and Jayden was reduced by a judge.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is reportedly heading back to family court in the new year to demand more time with her sons.

The star has had a hectic 2019, following drama over her conservatorship with her father, Jamie Spears, and an altered custody agreement with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

While the "Toxic" hitmaker's kids Sean, 14, and Jayden, 13, previously spent equal time with both parents, a judge ruled in September that Spears would get the kids 30 per cent of the time - altering the agreement that has been in place since 2007.

However, the singer is apparently not happy with the current situation, with a source telling Us Weekly, "Britney's goal in the new year is to go to family court and petition the judge for increased custody time with the boys."

"She will have the boys on Christmas Eve, and they will go to their dad's at some point on Christmas Day."

It was previously reported Britney and her ex do "not have much of a relationship" apart from "everyday co-parenting stuff."

Earlier this year, Kevin alleged Jamie broke down a door and violently shook one of the children - an allegation which was dismissed in court back in September.

Meanwhile, the singer has been locked in an ongoing court battle relating to Jamie's conservatorship, after she was admitted to a mental health treatment facility earlier in the year, with her mum Lynne insisting her ex is no longer fit to continue in that role.

However, the singer has been under the conservatorship of her father since 2008, and he successfully fought off the efforts to be dismissed.
