Admitting that he feels 'terrible' for the Duchess of Sussex, the 'Harry Potter' star argues it was the reason why he always thought her relationship with Prince Harry 'was sweet.'

AceShowbiz - Daniel Radcliffe feels "terrible" for Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex over the criticism she's received from the British press.

The former "Suits" actress wed Britain's Prince Harry last year (18), and has been subjected to intense scrutiny over her former Hollywood lifestyle and fragmented relationship with her father, Thomas.

In an interview with People Now on Friday, December 06, however, the "Harry Potter" star defended the Duchess, admitting he believes the scrutiny is unjust.

"I don't take a huge interest (in the royals)," he confessed, explaining that he's been "hearing bits and pieces" but from what he's heard, he's "picking up that Meghan Markle is being treated to the full force of the British media."

"I can only imagine," the actor continued. "That's why I always thought (Prince Harry and Meghan's) relationship was sweet. Because I was like, 'She must love you, if she wants to get involved in this crazy life.' It must be insane."

Meghan is suing The Mail on Sunday and its parent company, Associated Newspapers, after the outlet published a private letter the Duchess wrote to her dad.

According to Prince Harry, the move was "unlawful" and done "in an intentionally destructive manner" to manipulate the audience in a smear campaign against the mother-of-one.

Meanwhile, Harry has also filed papers against the owners of The Sun, the defunct News of the World, and the Daily Mirror, in relation to alleged phone-hacking.
