Fronting the January 2020 edition of the magazine with her four children, the daughter of Paul McCartney calls attention to her label's eco-friendly commitment.

AceShowbiz - Stella McCartney has made fashion history by becoming the first designer to grace the cover of American Vogue.

The style queen appears on the front of the January, 2020 edition of the magazine with her four children, Miller, 14, Bailey, 12, Becket, 11, and Reiley, nine.

The designer, who is famous for her eco-friendly apparel, took to Instagram to break the historic news on Thursday, December 05, explaining why sustainability is so important to her namesake labels.

"2020 here we come! I am so honoured to be the first fashion designer ever on the cover of @VogueMagazine," she wrote in the caption attached to an image of the cover. "I celebrate my incredible team as this is born out of the commitment we have held in our hearts from day one at Stella, caring and trying our best to be mindful in our business to protect Mother Earth and all its creatures."

"Thank you American vogue (sic) for sending out this loud message that you are on board and that this can be the future of fashion."
