British actor Nicholas Galitzine is 'beyond thrilled,' yet 'fully prepared to feel wholly untalented' after being cast opposite the 'Senorita' singer in the upcoming modern take of the classic tale.

AceShowbiz - Camila Cabello has found her on-screen Prince Charming. The Cuban-born singer/actress is set to portray the title character in "Cinderella (2021)", which has now cast British actor Nicholas Galitzine in the male lead role of Prince Robert.

According to Deadline which first reported the news, Galitzine won the part after wowing the filmmakers in many chemistry readings. A day before the news broke, he teased about his new gig, writing on Twitter, "Oh my god HUGE news incoming!!!"

Galitzine also shared the news about his casting on Instagram, posting the headline along with the caption, "Well I guess the news is out... so pleased to finally be able to announce I'll be playing Prince Robert opposite @camila_cabello in @kaykaycannon 's CINDERELLA."

While he's "beyond thrilled to bring this character to life," he admitted that he's at the same time "fully prepared to feel wholly untalented compared to @idinamenzel and @theebillyporter." He added, "life's one hell of a ride, hold on tight."

Prior to Galitzine, Billy Porter and Idina Menzel have been added to the cast as well, with the former playing the fairy godmother and the latter starring as the evil stepmother of Cinderella.

The "Cinderella" remake is described as a modern reimagining of the classic fairy tale. "Blockers" filmmaker Kay Cannon is on board to direct for the studio's Columbia label, in addition to penning the script. The project is based on an original idea from CBS' "The Late Late Show" host James Corden, who is producing the film with Leo Pearlman under their Fulwell73 shingle.

Cabello will also provide music for the upcoming film. A production start is scheduled for February 2020 for a February 5, 2021 release.

Galitzine had his first big film break when starring opposite Luke Perry in John Williams' "The Beat Beneath My Feet" (2014). He also landed a role in 2016's sports drama comedy "Handsome Devil" and stars opposite Uma Thurman on Netflix series "Chambers". He will next be seen in horror reboot "The Craft".
