In addition to receiving jail sentence, the two Korean pop stars exposed in the Seungri explosive sex scandal is banned by court from working with children.

AceShowbiz - K-Pop star and TV personality Jung Joon Young has been sentenced to six years in prison for gang raping unconscious women.

The 30-year-old singer was also charged with filming the assault and distributing the videos.

In addition, fellow K-pop star Choi Jong Hoon was sentenced to five years behind bars on the gang rape charges. As well as their prison sentences, both men will have to complete 80 hours of sexual violence treatment courses. They are also banned from working with children.

Speaking about the sentences, Judge Kang Seong Soo said that Jung had preyed on women who were "drunk and unable to resist, filmed them nude and having sex then spread it on a group chat."

"We can't imagine the pain the victims might have felt who found out later," the judge added.

Following the ruling, Jung said in a statement, "I deeply regret my foolishness and I feel great remorse. From now on, I shall only give out and live in remorse."

The case against the pair was discovered during an investigation by police into fellow K-Pop singer Seungri, who was charged with supplying prostitutes to VIP members of a club he frequented. According to reports, officials discovered Jung's videos while looking into Seungri's case.

The news of Jung's prison sentence comes after the singer announced his plans to walk away from the entertainment industry as a result of his shameful behaviour back in May.
