AceShowbiz - Thanksgiving is here and people unsurprisingly were looking forward to Macy's Thanksgiving Parade which took place on Thursday morning, November 28 in New York City. Jimmy Fallon was among the performers at the festivity, but viewers were left disappointed following his performance.
The late night TV show host sang "Surfin Bird" so passionately in front of cameras, but people couldn't help but notice that he didn't actually sing live. People on the Internet quickly came at him as one said, "Wow. Jimmy Fallon with a hall-of-fame bad lip-syncing performance during the #MacysDayParade."
Another viewer tweeted, "#MacysDayParade producers: OK, everyone's cool if you lip sync. It's a parade, you're outside, it's cold. Just make it look realistic. Jimmy Fallon: So wait until the music has been playing for five seconds and then wildly thrash around?"
Meanwhile, one person gave Jimmy "0/10" rating for his lip-syncing, poking fun at the fact that he created "Lip Sync Battle" skits on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". "Jimmy Fallon's Lip Sync Rating: 0/10.... dude you fucking INVENTED Lip Synch Battle.... what the hell man," the person ranted. Someone else just simply said that "Jimmy Fallon just did the worst lip sync I've ever seen."
One user sarcastically wrote, "Jimmy Fallon shaking off his daily hangover to enthusiastically lip sync to 'The Bird’s the Word' on the Entenmann's float is a dazzling display of professionalism. Enjoy that check Jimmy! #MacysDayParade."
The Trashmen released "Surfin' Bird" in 1963 and soon became a No. 4 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is a combination of The Rivingtons' "The Bird is the Word" and "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow".
In addition to Jimmy, this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade featured performances from Black Eyed Peas, Celine Dion, Ciara, Idina Menzel, Lea Michele and K-Pop superstar NCT 127. The group made history by being the first K-Pop act to perform at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
