The 'Rap Game' co-creator teams up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to provide free vegan food for families in need in Atlanta for the holiday.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Jermaine Dupri has joined forces with bosses at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to host a vegan Thanksgiving.

The star and members of the animal rights organisation will team up ahead of the U.S. holiday on November 23 for the meal, which will be hosted for Atlanta, Georgia families in need.

Among the food items offered will be roasted vegan turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and pumpkin pie.

"I've been vegan for over a decade," Dupri said in a statement, "and for me, there's nothing better for feeling your best and knowing you're helping the planet and animals. The holidays are about the spirit of giving, and PETA and I want to give people in Atlanta a Thanksgiving meal that's healthy, humane and delicious."

Dupri will be joined by "Dynasty" star Elaine Hendrix for the gathering, which will be hosted at the area's West Hunter Street Baptist Church.
