The singer has unveiled a new rendition of John Lennon and Yoko Ono classic "Happy Christmas (War Is Over)", which will be available on the deluxe edition of his holiday album, "A Legendary Christmas", and he reveals the addition of his two favourite girls made the recording extra special.
"I loved recording the song," he tells Pop Sugar. "It was such an inspiring recording session; I got to include my wife and my daughter. We all came together to sing a really beautiful song that needs to be heard."
Meanwhile, Legend is still being criticized for his last festive release - a reworked version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" he recorded with Kelly Clarkson.
The new track replaces controversial lyrics about a suitor plying his date with drink and encouraging her not to head home. The song was banned from many radio stations last year (2018), but Christmas traditionalists dislike what Legend and Clarkson have done with the track.
