The 'Dog's Most Wanted' star started to receive numerous calls and fans flooded his social media account with messages of condolences after his fake death report surfaced online.

AceShowbiz - Dog the Bounty Hunter is a victim of death hoax. The reality TV star, whose real name is Duane Chapman, found himself at the center of a fake death story that circulated online via Facebook earlier this week.

The said Facebook post read, "PTPA Admin. Our idol died today. Since His wife died he was never healthy anymore. Now they are together..Rest in peace DOG.." The fake report additionally claimed that Dog died of pulmonary embolism and didn't survive the second attack. "He survived the first attact but the second one is too much," so read the post.

Debunking the story, the "Dog's Most Wanted" shared with TMZ a photo he took on Tuesday, November 19. The picture, which he also posted on his official Instagram page, features him posing while holding a sign which reads, "I'm alive," in one hand and a Tuesday edition of Denver Post to prove his point.

The 66-year-old sent out the photo to clarify the report after tons of fans flooded his social media page to express their condolences. He was reportedly on his way to a workout when his phone started ringing and he first heard about the hoax. Sources say Dog's team even called him to make sure he's all okay.

While Dog is very much still alive now, he indeed had a health scare recently. He was rushed to a hospital in Castle Rock, Colorado in September after experiencing symptoms similar to a heart attack. After released from the hospital, he appeared on "The Dr. Oz Show" on September 30, during which he was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism in the heart.

Dog, who previously declared that he's not afraid to die anymore following his wife Beth Chapman's passing, got tearful as he recalled the time he felt the pain. "Well I all the time stick my foot in my mouth and I said after Beth left I'm not afraid to die," he said, before admitting that he has changed his mind, "Oh I was afraid to die. I said 'Please let go of my heart honey. Quit squeezing my heart.' So I take that back. I'm not afraid to die, but I don't want to."

Dr. Oz revealed that Dog initially denied treatment, but he convinced the bounty hunter that Beth would not have wanted him to act like this. "I hesitated for a minute thinking, I don't want to have to go through this again," Dog shared after agreeing to receive treatment. "I don't want to die right now. I'm not afraid to die anymore, but I really didn't care for awhile if something would happen. I do care now."
