Having been sentenced to 55 years in prison after being found guilty of another murder, 'The Race' rapper is accused of killing 23-year-old photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar.

AceShowbiz - Incarcerated American rapper Tay-K has been indicted on a capital murder charge in Texas.

According to San Antonio ABC affiliate KSAT, the rising 19-year-old hip-hop star is being detained in Bexar County Jail over an April 2017 shooting, in which he allegedly killed 23-year-old photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar.

Tay, real name is Taymor Travon McIntyre, allegedly shot Saldivar after stealing the snapper’s equipment in San Antonio.

He was a fugitive at the time of the shooting, having fled house arrest after being apprehended for his alleged participation in a failed robbery that left one man dead in 2016.

The musician was eventually apprehended and in July he was sentenced to 55 years in prison after being found guilty of murder, as well as additional sentences ranging from 13 to 30 years on aggravated robbery charges.

During his time on the run, Tay recorded "The Race", which reached number 44 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart, following its release in December 2017.
