The co-director of 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' is reportedly close to come on board the small screen project which his fellow filmmaker is expected to co-executive produce.

AceShowbiz - "Sin City" filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is poised to reunite with co-director Frank Miller to adapt the popular comic book franchise for TV.

Miller, who created the neo-noir graphic novels in the early 1990s, joined forces with Rodriguez in 2005 to take the crime anthology to the big screen, with a sequel, "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For", released in 2014.

Now the pair is close to teaming up once more for a TV series based on the comics.

According to Deadline.com, Miller has just signed a deal with Legendary Television bosses, while Rodriguez is close to boarding the project, which they are expected to co-executive produce.

It's not yet known if they will direct episodes for the first season too, should the project come to fruition.

Miller will also help to develop an animated series for a "Sin City" prequel inspired by his novels.

Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio del Toro, and Bruce Willis starred in the first "Sin City" movie, which featured Quentin Tarantino as a special guest director.
