After saying that she's 'working on that ish called Balance,' the 'Work' hitmaker gets annoyed when one of her pals quizzes her about her long-awaited studio album.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna seemingly hinted at taking a break. In a cryptic post, the 31-year-old R&B singer let her more than 76 million followers on Instagram know that she had a tough year. She also apologized to her acquaintances and loved ones for being inattentive.

"To all my friends/family/coworkers who I have yet to get back to in the past months...please forgive me," RiRi captioned a picture of her pouting to the camera. "This year has been quite an overwhelming one, and I'm working on that ish called Balance," so she added and signed the note with "brb."

The Fenty Beauty mogul didn't explain further, but she seemingly didn't want to talk about her long-awaited studio album. When one of her followers Jahleel Weaver asked her, "Where's the album heaux?!!!" she shot him down, "I don't need this kinda negativity in my life! BLOCKT."

It's unclear whether RiRi was really mad or just trolling because Weaver is actually her stylist and one of her best friends. The pair met when he worked as an assistant to her former stylist Mel Ottenberg during her "Loud" tour in 2011. He now works at Fenty Corporation. "I'm very fortunate to have been taken on this incredible journey with her," he told British Vogue in October.

RiRi has been romantically linked to Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel since 2018. Without mentioning her rumored boyfriend, she confirmed in an October interview with Anna Wintour that she had been "in an exclusive relationship for quite some time."

When asked about marriage and children, she replied, "I don't think about stuff like that, but God's plan, but I look forward to all of the pregnancy rumors after this interview."

Rihanna dropped her last album "Anti" in 2016. In December 2018, she said her next studio installment would come out in 2019. She later revealed that it was a reggae project. There hasn't been any update since then, however.

Although her music was stalled, she's still a very busy woman. She starred in movies "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" in 2017, "Ocean's 8" in 2018, and "Guava Island"which is available on Amazon Prime Video. She also launched a lingerie brand and co-chaired Met Gala in 2018.
