People speculated that the couple had taken their relationship to the next level as the blonde beauty was spotted wearing a diamond ring at the event, but she has since put the rumors to rest.
Speaking to E! News, Gwen made it clear that the ring she wore that night was nothing but an accessory. "It might be a real ring, a real diamond but it's not a wedding ring. No, no," the No Doubt singer told the site. "It actually doesn't fit over the glove on this hand so I put it on this hand. But good, right?" She later promised to let the world know "when I have something to say."
Gwen sparked engagement rumors at the 2019 PCAs after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger, teaming it up with a white dress with a long train and thigh-high black boots. She also put on black gloves to make her look more fashionable during the event that took place in Santa Monica, California.
During the annual ceremony itself, Gwen was honored with Fashion Icon Award, thanking her mother and grandmother for influencing her look. "I always loved fashion, it was one of those instinctual things. My mom would come home from school and my grandmother," "The Voice" coach said during her acceptance speech. "So I feel like my favorite thing in my life is to go to the fabric store with my mom and pick out different looks … it was always there, so the fact that this is happening now is hard to imagine, because it's just what I do."
