During an interview, the Colombian singer reveals that the Young Money female emcee asked her to 'teach her how to sing the chorus in Spanish' when they were filming the visuals.

AceShowbiz - Not only in English, but Nicki Minaj can also rap in Spanish. The female emcee proves that out via her collaboration with Karol G, "Tusa", which was unveiled on Thursday, November 7 along with its music video accompaniment.

In the visuals, Nicki is seen showing off her signature tongue trill and is decked out in two lavish ensembles as she delivers her verses in both Spanish and English. "Don't try to get your friends to come holla, holla/ Ayo, I used to lay low," the rapper spits. "I wasn't in the clubs, I was on my J.O/ Until I realized you a epic fail."

Meanwhile, Karol appears to be a fallen angel in the visuals. She dances alongside dancers clad in goddess-like outfits before she is seen in the latter part of the music video caring for two beautiful white Pegasuses.

In an interview with Billboard, Karol disclosed how the collaboration came to happen, revealing that they started trading songs through social media until the songstress sent "Tusa" over. "She called me and said, 'I'm going to make the best rap of my life for your song,' " Karol said during the chat. "I felt so happy. I sent her the music at 1 P.M. At 1:07 P.M., she downloaded the file, and at 8 P.M., I had the song back."

"She surprised me by recording four full lines in Spanish," the Colombian beauty added, recalling the time when they shot the music video. "She asked me to teach her how to sing the chorus in Spanish. And in the video, she does it."

"Tusa" marked the second song that Nicki released ever since she shocked her fans with retirement announcement, which she later clarified that her comment was in reference to her fifth studio album that might never see the light of the day. Prior to this, she joined forces with PnB Rock and Murda Beatz for "Fendi".
