Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham of 'Ladies Like Us' podcast are sorry for the way they responded to T.I.'s shocking remarks, admitting they should have reacted differently.

AceShowbiz - The host of "Ladies Like Us" podcast issued an apology amid controversy surrounding T.I.'s interview about his daughter virginity check-up. Nazanin Mandi, who is Miguel's wife, and her co-host Nadia Moham took the heat for the way they reacted following his revelation.

The two women were put on blast for giggling upon learning that the rapper took his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah to gynecologist to get her hymen checked. "This is extremely disgusting! and the fact that these interviewees (who are women) are laughing with him about it is absolutely sickening. AND TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE DEFENDING HIM YOU ARE JUST AS SICK AS HE IS," one listener commented.

In their apology, the hosts claimed they laughed because they were completely caught off guard by T.I.'s shocking comments. While admitting they should have reacted differently, they insisted that they never intended to make fun of Deyjah or anyone.

"To everyone confused, angry and hurt by the recent episode of Ladies Like Us, we want to apologise for our knee jerk reaction to the uncomfortable topic," the hosts said. "We were completely caught off guard/shocked and looking back, we should have reacted much differently in the moment."

They continued, "The comments that were mad and the reaction that followed are not in any way a reflection of our personal views on the topic. We support and love Women and feel that their bodies are theirs to do as they wish."

"There was absolutely no ill intent towards any party involved & feel deeply awful about the entire incident. We are not perfect, take full accountability of our lack of action & are continuously learning along the way. We know an apology doesn't make this go away but we welcome the discussion- that's what our podcast is about."

In response, a fan urged Nazanin and Nadia to invite T.I.'s daughter, "Have dayja go on the show and talk about the situation and her family's dynamic." Another told them to reach out to Deyjah to personally apologize, "Y'all need to apologize to Deyjah.......y'all are grown women. That's unacceptable."

However, there were some who didn't buy their apology. "Off guard but u still posted about it and said it was an inspirational episode. This is a cop out due to the backlash," one criticized them.
