AceShowbiz - Everybody has different kind of reactions after learning of their parents' divorce. Some naturally get sad and hope they reconsider the decision, while some others just accept it and move on. In the case of Chrissy Teigen, she reacted to the tough situation with humor.
Freelance reporter for Vanity Fair, Karen Valby, recently had an interview with both the supermodel and her mom as they discussed the impending split. Karen shared Chrissy's response on her Twitter account, writing, " 'Two Christmases!' Chrissy said she told her parents, trying to make a joke. A marriage that was long more of a friendship is coming to an end. Life goes on."
The "Bring the Funny" judge liked the tweet.
Her father, Ron Teigen Sr., filed for divorce from her mother Vilailuck "Pepper" Teigen in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 5. The reason for the split remains unknown as of now.
Prior to the divorce, the two have been living separately for some time as Pepper lives with Chrissy and her husband John Legend as she helps care for their two children. Ron, who only lives ten minutes away, often drops by her house.
"Mom is over so much that she lives with us basically and they've had this kind of relationship for a long time. And my dad comes to the house every other day or so, he was just over yesterday," Chrissy previously said in an interview. "It just works for them. It's a good family life. We're all very close, very tight-knit."
Chrissy's mom and dad met in Thailand when she was a single mother with a daughter named Tina. Ron brought them back to the U.S. where they lived in Utah. Following Chrissy's birth, the pair moved to Washington and ran a tavern there.
