Six months after guitarist Tom Morello insisted there were no plans for a get-together, the rock band announces a handful of dates, including a comeback tour that will be kicked off in El Paso, Texas.

AceShowbiz - Rockers Rage Against the Machine are reuniting once again to headline next year's (2020) Coachella music festival in Indio, California.

Singer Zack De La Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk finally confirmed rumours of a get-together on Friday, November 1, when they posted a handful of dates on social media.

The band will kick off the comeback tour in El Paso, Texas on March 26, and perform in New Mexico and Arizona, before heading to Indio in April for the annual two-weekend festival.

The political rock act, which initially split in 2000, last regrouped in 2007 and enjoyed a four-year run, performing its last show together at the L.A. Rising festival in 2011.

The new dates emerge almost six months after Morello insisted there were no plans to revive Rage Against the Machine again, after forming a new side band, Prophets of Rage, with Commerford, Wilk and rap icons Chuck D and B-Real.

"There's no news on the Rage Against the Machine front," he told HardDrive Radio in May.

"The times demand people standing up. That's what I'm doing with my stuff, what Prophets of Rage is doing. Don't wait around for Rage Against the Machine. Form your own band and get it done."
