AceShowbiz - Lil' Kim is mourning the death of her dad, Linwood Jones. The hip-hop icon took to her Instagram account to share her feelings following the heartbreaking event with fans as well as thank someone special who was by her side during the tough time.
While she didn't disclose how her dad died, Kim wrote a hearfelt message in her Thursday, October 31 post. "On this very day I found out my Daddy passed away," the Queen Bee shared alongside a photo of herself with Trina. "I was so distraught and had to put on a brave face and keep working because I had a show that same night."
"When @trinarockstarr came into my dressing room we instantly bonded. She comforted me and it was exactly what I needed in that moment," she praised the "Here We Go" rapper. "It's as if her Mom and my Dad brought us together and healed our friendship. We both have angels watching over us."

It seemed like Lil' Kim's dad passed away on October 25, the same day when a video of her sharing a hug with Trina went viral. In the video, the "Lady Marmalade" star was seen donning same outfit like the one pictured in her recent Instagram post.
Back in 2012, it was said that Lil' Kim wasn't close with her dad. However, they reconnected after she found out that he was suffering from Alzheimer. It prompted the singer/songwriter to open up her home and take care of him. As for her relationship with Trina, it seemed like there used to be tension between the two legends because of Nicki Minaj. Trina is close to both of them and it seemed like she was caught in the middle of one of the longest running grievances between two female rappers in music history.
