AceShowbiz - Safaree Samuels and fiancee Erica Mena drew inspiration for their Halloween costume from power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" stars opted to bring back the cosmetic mogul's pregnancy look when she attended the 2013 Met Gala with her rapper husband.
Safaree and Erica shared their recreation on Instagram, much to everyone's delight. In the photo, the pregnant TV star was seen donning a long-sleeved floral dress from Kimi Kouture to which looked identical to Kim's Givenchy dress designed by Riccardo Tisci. Meanwhile, Safaree looked dapper in a simple black suit with a white undershirt. Not only copying Ye's outfit, Safaree also imitated the "Jesus Is King" rapper's expression.
"Happy Halloween From the 2013 met gala The Samuels West. Hey @kimkardashian tell Kanye I said Waddup," Safaree wrote in the caption. Fans in the comment section were all loving the Halloween outfit as one praised Safaree for his "dead on" face, adding, "Y'all did THAT!" Similarly, one other said, "Nah yah face got me dead right now."
"Safaree you did not have to do your face like that," one fan jokingly wrote. Fans also raved about Erica as one comment read, "Yes yes and more yes erica killed it."
In another photo, Safaree and Erica imitated another pose from Kim and Kanye at the same event. It featured them walking hand-in-hand among the crowd while Kanye appeared to be startled by something. "The Samuels West caught off guard at the Met gala in 2013," Safaree captioned the snap. "Yo this is so simple but hilarious," said one fan of the recreation.
Kim apparently caught wind of Safaree and Erica's rendition of her Met Gala look for this year's Halloween, and she totally loved it. Quote-retweeting Safaree's post on Twitter, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star wrote, "This is soooo good! I sent it to the designer Riccardo Tisci and Kanye on a group chat!"
Fans might remember that Kim generated viral memes at the time. Fans were poking fun at her floral pattern to a couch among other things.
