The MTV reality TV star announces to her social media followers that she and her children have 'moved away' from her husband and she has started the divorce proceeding.

AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans has called it quits with her husband David Eason. The "Teen Mom 2" star announces to her online devotees on Instagram that she has filed paperwork to start the process of divorcing Eason after almost two years of marriage.

"I've mostly kept off social media the past few days because I've been focused on making some big life decisions," she began her post. "I've lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn't been pretty. But it's been my life."

"Like everyone else I want what's best for my kids and I want to be happy. With time away from 'Teen Mom', I've started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I'm starting that now," the 27-year-old mother of three went on.

"The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that's what is best for me, and for my kids. Today I've filed papers to start that process," the MTV reality star continued.

"I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you'll hear from us again soon."

Just a week before announcing her divorce, Evans posted a picture with Eason. "Today was fun," so she told her followers about their outing which was joined by her children.

Jenelle Evans and David Eason shares a 2-year-old daughter Ensley. She also has two sons from her previous relationships.

Her marriage to Eason was full of drama. In 2018, Eason landed in hot water over his past homophobic comments on social media. "Why don't you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh I forgot that's supposed to be normal," one of his offensive comments read.

She came to his defense back then, insisting that he "didn't understand how offensive people would get or how Twitter even works." She added, "Now that he realizes his voice is very strong within media/tabloids he has deactivated his account. He agrees he will keep his comments to himself from now on."

Earlier this year, Eason admitted to killing the family dog. He claimed his daughter "was in danger" after the pet bit her. Jenelle was fired by MTV and temporarily lost custody of her kids but has since got them back.
