AceShowbiz - Stephen Curry (II) had a not-so-nice incident when Golden State Warriors played against Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, October 30. In the middle of the game, the basketball star was forced to sit out after breaking his left arm.
He was injured after driving to the rim and colliding with Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes, who was trying to draw a charge. Stephen landed awkwardly on his hand in the paint following the collision, and he was soon escorted out the field to get X-rays that confirmed the break. It's been stated that Stephen will undergo an MRI and CT scan on Thursday to determine if surgery is necessary.
Steve Kerr, Golden State Warriors coach, revealed the aftermath of the incident, "Aron Baynes came up after the game and just wanted to know how Steph was doing. You could tell he felt really bad. It's just a random basketball play, so stuff happens."
As for the game itself, Golden State ended up losing to the Phoenix Suns with 121-110 score.
The incident arrived after Stephen made headlines earlier this month, when his name was mentioned during Michael Jordan's interview with Craig Melvin on "Today". At the time, the veteran player noted that while he admitted that Stephen is a "great player," the 31-year-old is "not a Hall of Famer yet, though." His comment successfully became a hot topic among social media users, who voiced their disagreement. However, Stephen didn't really take it to heart.
"I know I have more to prove to myself. When you hear a guy like that who's the greatest of all time, it's kind of funny," he said in response. "Since we've been on this stage, we've heard a lot of retired guys chiming in on this generation of basketball player and evaluating talent and saying their generation was better and all that. It's a great conversation for the fans to get it on. I know I'm in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove myself."
