Cassie uploads a 'bittersweet' picture of her from 2017 when she was still dating P. Diddy, saying she was faking happiness and battling her 'personal demons.'

AceShowbiz - Cassie looked back at her old self. Married and pregnant, the R&B singer posted on Instagram a picture of her from 2017, and said she was saddened by the girl in the picture. She claimed it was the time when she struggled with her demons and put up a daily front.

The 33-year-old mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with husband Alex Fine, didn't mention any names. However, fans were convinced that she addressed her past relationship with P. Diddy since she was still dating the music mogul back that day.

"Do you ever come across old pictures of yourself and get blown away by how much you've evolved?" she wrote in the caption. "When I look at pictures it brings me back to the exact place and time where I can literally touch the feelings I was feeling, almost experiencing them all over again with a sense of calm."

"It's a form of therapy for me. Was I happy? Was I eating that day? Did I sleep the night before? What was I stressing at that moment? What front did I have up that day?" She went on before explaining that the photo was taken in New York on May 31, 2017.

"I feel sad for the girl in the picture because I know the personal demons she was battling, but I'm so excited for her growth to come. It's bittersweet looking at this photo," she added. "This is a shout out to everyone on their journey! I'm still on mine and I hope that me sharing can help others know that there is so much joy in recognizing your growth every step of the way."

Cassie started dating Diddy in 2007 before they called it quits in 2018. She tied the knot with Alex Fine in August. "Love you forever," she told her husband on the caption of their wedding picture, to which he replied on his own page, "To The Moon & Back." He added, "Marriage is easy. That's my best friend why wouldn't I want to hang with her everyday!"
