AceShowbiz - Iggy Azalea took a jab at Cardi B after the latter seemingly claimed that she made it easier for aspiring female rappers to get signed by labels following her success. Iggy dissed the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker on her social media.
While fellow female rapper Nicki Minaj kept mum on Cardi's controversial statement, many hardcore fans of the "Anaconda" star were fuming. "B***h you tried it," one of Nicki's loyal devotees raged on Twitter and the comment got a like from Iggy.
Cuban Doll was another star slamming Cardi B. She posted a meme showing a room full of women raising their hands up. While she didn't mention anything about Cardi, the caption was pretty telling. "Raise your hand if you, too, opened doors for female rappers," it read.
Meanwhile, Cardi B defended herself on Twitter. She insisted that she never dissed anyone, "Ya comprehension skills must be on slow cause I never discredit nobody." She hotly argued, "There's been females rappers b4 I was born [but] it died out due to hope and it got revive back in 08 & the music industry made it a stigma like there could only be 1 & now there's plenty striving."
The "Hustlers" star blamed haters for twisting her words, "No matter how I would have word it people will always find a way to flip it & make it negative cause they hate cardi but yet they still can't find me a magazine, a big festival, a male female rapper collar that happen between 2008-2017 expect for 1 female rapper."
