The former member of K-Pop girlgroup f(x) was supposed to play a lead role in an anthology series called 'Persona' before she was found dead inside her house.

AceShowbiz - K-pop star Sulli was in the midst of filming the second episode of the South Korean Netflix series "Persona" when she died.

According to representatives from production company Mystic Story, the singer/actress had taken over from her pal IU on the show, who previously fronted season one of the popular anthology series.

They said: "As the lead of the second season of Persona, Sulli was in the midst of filming the second segment. Nothing has been decided yet regarding the reveal of this project."

They added that they are not considering casting a different actor as they are "still in mourning," and have not discussed the future of the series.

The former f(x) star, real name Choi Jin-ri, was found dead at her home in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea by her manager on Monday, October 14, after he was unable to reach the star via phone. She was 25 years old.

Police previously said they suspected Sulli's death could be suicide, although an official cause of death is yet to be determined, with a spokesperson admitting: "It seems that Choi was living alone at the house."

"It looks like she ended her life but we will investigate, open to all possibilities."

Sulli's funeral was privately held with friends and family last week, following a public memorial for fans.
