The 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' star and her husband have accused Raul Menjivar and his associates of 'deliberately concealing defects' when selling them their Los Angeles home in 2015.

AceShowbiz - Actress and funnywoman Rachel Bloom and her husband have sued the real estate mogul who sold them their home in 2015, after spotting a series of defects.

Bloom and Dan Gregor have accused Raul Menjivar and his associates of "deliberately concealing defects", according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The couple's suit was filed on Monday, October 21 in Los Angeles. Bloom and her husband are seeking $500,000 (£388,000) in compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages.

The plaintiffs bought the Los Angeles home in 2015 for over $1.2 million (£926,000) from Menjivar's company, the Run Group, and after discovering the windows were leaking, they decided to seek out other issues from professionals, only to discover "severe rot" beneath new drywall and other problems.

"The Defendants' scheme involves purchasing older residential properties and conducting sub-standard remodeling work (including concealing material defects in the properties through cosmetic fixes)," the couple's attorney, Devin McRae, writes.

The "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" star and her husband attempted to mediate with Menjivar and his associates, but they were allegedly unwilling to sit down with the pair.
