AceShowbiz - Dennis Quaid has confirmed reports of his engagement to Laura Savoie, detailing his spontaneous proposal to the 26-year-old student.
The 65-year-old "The Parent Trap" star opened up about the romantic moment, revealing it took place in Turtle Bay on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.
"It happened on the very northernmost point of Oahu," he told Extra on Monday, October 21. "It was kind of spontaneous. It was very much a surprise," Dennis said. "I had the ring in my pocket... It has been kind of a month-and-a-half plan... I wanted it to be private."
Savoie was shocked and overjoyed by the heartfelt surprise.
"She was actually taking a selfie of us, and I put the ring in front and said, 'Will you marry me?' and then she fell down," he added.
The pair has been linked to each other since June.
This will be University of Texas student Laura's first marriage, while Dennis has previously been married three times.
