Latin AMAs 2019: Anuel AA Dominates With Five Wins, Ozuna Claims Two

The 5th Annual Latin American Music Awards sees Becky G taking home Favourite Artist - Female trophy and Marc Anthony being honored with the International Artist Award of Excellence.

AceShowbiz - Anuel AA was the big winner at the Latin American Music Awards on Thursday night, October 17, leaving with a staggering five gongs.

Among the prizes the Puerto Rican rapper, real name Emmanuel Santiago, took home were the prestigious awards for Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for his record "Real Hasta La Muerte". He also performed for the audience inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, with his rendition of "China", featuring Daddy Yankee and Ozuna, closing the show.

Other winners included Ozuna, who left with two prizes after receiving an impressive nine nominations, and Becky G, who was named Favourite Artist - Female. Collecting her award from Pitbull, Becky thanked her family as she gushed: "I wouldn't be here without you. Thank you for accepting me for who I am, a Mexican-American from Inglewood. Even though I was born in the United States, my heart is 100 per cent Latina".

Elsewhere in the ceremony, Marc Anthony was honoured with the International Artist Award of Excellence, and used his acceptance speech to pay tribute to Jose Jose, who died last month.
